| U.S. JCI SENATE SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS |
Each year, the U.S. JCI Senate Foundation ("the Foundation") grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of the recipient's choice.
Applications must come from high school students who are U.S. Citizens graduating from U.S. accredited schools. This may include state approved home school and state approved GED programs, cyber schools, and overseas U.S. approved schools.
The Foundation is a fully qualified, IRS approved 501(c)(3) foundation. Our IRS Tax ID Number is 38-2680101. All contributions to the Foundation are deductible for federal income and estate tax purposes.
From September to November of each year, each JCI Senate state organization (or foundation) distributes to schools and boards of education throughout their state the necessary application forms for determination of the recipients of scholarship grants. The deadline for return of the completed application forms to the state chairperson is at his or her individual discretion, and can vary from as early as December 1st to as late as the following January 15th. The deadline is shown on each state's application cover page.
An outside, independent panel of judges reviews each application received in each state and the two top ranked applications per state are forwarded to the Foundation. Another outside, independent panel of educators reviews the applications submitted from the states and the winners of the scholarship grants are selected by that panel.
Qualifications for the Foundation's scholarship grants are as stated above. No limit is set on the number of grant applications that can be submitted by students attending any given secondary educational institution. Although applications are judged at the state level first, eligibility is based on a student's state of residence rather than the location of the college, university, or vocational school the student plans to attend.
Beginning in 2010, scholarship applications on this site are available as PDF forms only. Anyone with a fairly recent version of the free Adobe Reader (version 7 or above) can fill one of these forms out on his or her computer, store it for future update, and then print and mail it to the address shown on the application.
Again, please note that it is the individual state JCI Senate organizations (or in
some cases, foundations) that distribute, collect, and arrange for judging of scholarship grant applications.
Currently, only the states listed below have provided contact information for their scholarship program managers. This list will grow over time. If you live in one of the states listed, click on the name of that state to obtain contact information and to download that state's scholarship application.
Beginning in late November, states will be removed from this list once their application submission deadlines have passed.
Again, please note: YOU MUST SUBMIT ALL SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION TO THE JCI SENATE (OR FOUNDATION) CONTACT FOR THE STATE IN WHICH THE STUDENT APPLICANT LIVES.
The email addresses used here reside in a secure database and are as up to date as possible. If your email bounces, or you don't get a reply in a timely manner, contact this site's webmaster for assistance.
Note: If you send an email to someone from this list, we strongly suggest you include your phone number in the message. Sometimes email addresses cease to work, so give the recipient every opportunity to contact you.

Bradley had reached the maximum amount towards his college expenses that he could receive and graciously allowed us to award his grant to the Alternate. |
Through 2010, the U.S. JCI Senate Foundation has awarded 270 grants totaling $271,000.00.
The U.S. JCI Senate Foundation is proud of all of its award recipients and, with the continued support of JCI Senators in the United States and around the world, we look forward to making an even larger number of scholarship grants as we are able to do so. Please help us by making a contribution to the U.S. JCI Senate Foundation today. (Log in and click on Directory, then Senate Foundation to see how.)
